Mike Kennedy enjoyed a good session in January with a nine fish haul including a mirror of 31lb

20/04/13 Lewis Mulholland and Stu Osgathorpe started their weekend session with some nice overnight fish in the form of mirrors of 23lb 12oz and 24lb 4oz and a lovely commons of 28lb 4oz and 29lb. Wayne Childerley had a mirror of 28lb 12oz and a PB common of 29lb.

23/4/13 Dave Allen had a mirror of 18lb and a common of 16lb 8oz. New member Darren Proctor was pleased to start his Virginia membership with mirrors of 13lb 8oz and 16lb BUT

24/4/13 Darren started the morning with a mirror of 27lb 8oz and then had three carp quicksticks in the form of a 28lb 8oz common, a 19lb 8oz mirror and a beautiful common of 31lb. Darren was needless to say delighted but better was to come in the shape of a 35lb 8oz mirror, both UK PBs for Darren who went home a very happy man!

26/4/13 Wayne was back for more and was over the moon with another PB. This time a mirror of 30lb 8oz. Wayne also had a 17lb 3oz common. Dave Allen had two at 14lb 2oz and 18lb 4oz in an overnight session.

1/5/13 Darran Tokelove turned up ‘feeling lucky’. This proved to definitely be the case when overnight Darran had a 32lb mirror, follwed shortly by a new lake common record of 36lb 11oz. Darran also had two other smaller carp. WOW!

2/5/13 Darren Proctor had a mirror of 29lb whilst Darran T hit the thirties again with a mirror of 35lb 4oz

5/5/13 Darren Proctor had another 32lb 4oz mirror

8/5/13 Darren P continued with mirrors of 23lb 8oz, 18lb 10oz and 12lb as well as a common of 23lb 12 and a linear of 24lb 8oz.

10/5/13 Gary Gregory had two mirrors, 24lb 7oz and 14lb.

Nothing too big out of Virginia recently. Dave Allen has declared himself in charge of ‘pest control’ as he is picking up numerous’pasties’. Other than that it has been mostly twenties over the past few weeks. Steve Hicks also had several carp but nothing very large.

31/5/13 Dave Allen was pleased to report a catch of several carp, the biggest of which was a 29lb 14oz common, a pest he doesn’t mind!

1/6/13 Richard Smith had a 24lb mirror

2/6/13 Darrin Barter had a 25lb mirror.

15/6/13 Not much info coming in but Dave Allen(Dobermann Dave on account of his liking for Rottweilers!!!) has had three short sessions lately and has had 17 carp, the best two being commons of 29lb 2oz and 29lb 14oz, with the majority of the rest twenties. Gary Gregory meanwhile was enjoying himself with a common of 17lb , a mirror of 27lb 15oz and a beautiful fully-scaled of 25lb 7oz.

16/6/13 Gary finished his session with a PB common of 29lb 4oz as well as a 16lb 8oz mirror.

17/6/13 Will Findlay was delighted with his 32lb 2oz PB common as well as the 22lb common and 15lb mirror. Neil Harris was pleased to have a 16lb common.

18/6/13 Still fishing, Neil and Will had more carp in the shape of a 17lb 8oz common(Neil) and two mirrors of 14lb and 17lb 8oz for Will

19/6/13 This time it was Neil’s turn to get into the big fish. This was another common of 31lb 4oz. Hopefully more to come before home time!

21/6/13 Paul Sellens hit form on an overnighter with commons of 23lb 9oz, 19lb 7oz and 20lb 6oz as well as a mirror of 14lb 13oz.

22/6/13 Martin jackson landed a common of 25lb 8oz and I think Trevor Fisher had a couple but no weights.

28/6/13 Dave Allen hit into another thirty. This time a lovely mirror of 30lb 4oz. Dave also had a 24lb 10oz mirror. Wayne Childerley had mirrors of 21lb 1oz, 19lb 4oz and 12lb and Richard Smith had a 19lb mirror.

2/7/13 Simon Flaxman has already had several doubles- more to come!

6/7/13 Dave Allen has hit great form recently. He did an overnighter and had a linear of 19lb 4oz, commons of 29lb 4oz, 19lb 8oz and 14lb 4oz as well as The Woodcarving at 31lb 4oz. John had an 18lb + linear.

7/7/13 Trevor Fisher fishing Reed Lake had a mirror of 26lb 2oz.

13/7/13 Darran, Sam and Ryan fished the weekend and had over 400lb of carp. The biggest was a 29lb 10oz mirror but the catch also included eight 20s, siz 19s and eight 18s.

20/7/13 Darren Proctor had a 31lb common and a stunning black common of 25lb 12oz (Pingree’s escapee maybe!)

21/7/13 Titch had another good common of 29lb 12oz.

27/7/13 Trevor Fisher had a 26lb common, a 27lb 2oz linear and a common of 28lb 5oz with a funny eye. Wayne Childerley had an upper double, Gary and Laurie gregory both had two upper doubles. Dave Allen had the 30lb 5oz common he’e been after as well as a 24lb 10oz near leather and an 18lb 6oz linear,

3/8/13 Tom Dytor was delighted with his 29lb 10oz mirror and two other doubles. Wayne Newman went off to Lanzarote, Teneriffe, Benidorm or Ibiza happy after catching commons of 13lb, 18lb, 20lb 4oz and a mirror of 22lb 10oz. Tom and Wayne proved the value of pre-baiting targetted swims. Luke had a 16lb 3oz mirror.

4/8/13 Luke had a couple more, including a PB 25lb 12oz mirror, an 18lb mirror and a 15lb 3oz common. Mark had a 17lb common and a 19lb mirror and Darren P ended up with a common of 28lb 4oz and mirrors of 14lb 8oz, 17lb and 21lb.

WELL WHERE DO I BEGIN!

7/8/13 Paul Sellens turned up with Dad for a birthday treat and boy was his generosity rewarded. Paul probably knew he had hit a purple patch when within an hour he had a PB 30lb common on the bank. It didn’t end there as he soon had a 32lb 3oz mirror. This was backed up with other commons of 25lb 7oz, 21lb 1oz and 18lb, a near leather of 24lb 7oz and a mirror of 15lb 3oz. Paul also had a small cat of 13lb 4oz, 4 bream, 3 tench and some lost fish. Dad, not to be outdone had a PB common of 27lb 9oz.

MEANWHILE AT THE OTHER END OF THE LAKE Dave Allen was having a disturbed night. Dave had mirrors of 28lb, 22lb 14oz, 21lb 10oz, 14lb 14oz and 13lb 12oz as well as a fully-scaled 19lb 2oz.

8/8/13 Dave came back for another gruelling night and managed two hours sleep this time. Dave had mirrors of 23lb 12oz, 18lb 2oz, 16lb 6oz and 13lb 8oz, commons of 30lb 10oz, 25lb 14oz, 20lb 12oz, 13lb 4oz, 18lb 6oz and 14lb 10oz. If you see Dave blearily walking his dogs then you know why!!

10/8/13 Darran T had quite a few carp over the weekend- commons of 23lb 10oz, 22lb 4oz, 23lb 8oz, 20lb 3oz,20lb 6oz, 2x16lb, 15lb and mirrors of 24lb 12oz, 17lb, 2x18lb and 2x12lb.

John had a pristine PB common of 29lb 12oz whilst John Fisher had a common of 28lb, another of 24lb and a 19lb 6oz mirror.

17/8/13 Dave Allen goes from strength to strength and with over eighty carp so far this season, including several thirties and even more 29 pounders it was no surprise to hear that he again had had a good night. Dave had commons of 29lb 2oz, 25lb 7oz, 17lb 4oz and 14lb 14oz and mirrors of 25lb 1oz and 21lb 10oz. Next door Gary Gregory had a 32lb + mirror and three or four others including one twenty. Darren and Mark had had four to about 22lb at the last count but hopefully more to come.

22/8/13 Dave Allen , who is targetting 100 carp this season, started with a 27lb, then a 25lb, then a 24lb. He continued downwards and gave up at an 11 lb, having got to ninety- so only ten to go Dave-should take you about an hour on present form.

24/8/13 Virginia fished well this weekend. Richard Smith had mirrors of 29lb 5oz and 16lb 2oz and a common of 28lb 12oz. Wayne Childerley had six – three high doubles and three twenties, biggest a mirror of 24lb 11oz. Darren P started off with a beautiful 20lb near leather, then had two more high doubles, followed by a stunning 25lb 8oz linear, a perfectly shaped 26lb common and commons of 21lb and 23lb.

25/8/13 Darren M (nice to see you back) had seven up to 20lb.

29/8/13 Simon Flaxman had a 25lb 4oz common and a 25lb 4oz leather and Mark Johnson a 17lb 10 leather,20lb 6oz common and an 18lb 2oz common

30/8/13 Mark continued to catch with leathers of 17lb 15oz and 18lb 6oz , a common of 20lb and a linear of 21lb 6oz.

1/9/13 Gary Gregory ended his weekend with a 30lb 2oz mirror, a 16lb 1oz mirror, a 26lb 15oz mirror and a 12lb 8oz mirror as well as commons of 20lb, 26lb 15oz and a P.B. of 29lb 14oz. Wayne C had a 19lb 9oz common and a 20lb common and Steve Carter had a lovely 25lb 14oz common not to mention a 14lb bream.

3/9/13 Mark Johnson finished a good short session having had several carp, the best of which were three mirrors- The Sheriff? at 30lb 7oz. The Woodcarving at 33lb 5oz and 30lb 12oz. Mark also had another 29lb 10oz mirror.

8/9/13 Trevor Fisher had a stunning weekend His final tally was mirrors of 25lb 8oz, 23lb 8oz, 21lb 12oz, 16lb, 22lb 2oz, 31lb 9oz, and 30lb 8oz. Trev also had commons of 22lb 6oz, 17lb 4oz, 21lb 10oz, 26lb 14oz and 23lb 12oz. That makes twelve fish in all and over 270lb of carp.

12/9/13 Neil harris finished a few days with a 19lb 2oz common, a 23lb + mirror and a stunning 29lb 8oz common. Will went home happy on Tuesday having had commons of 16lb 2oz, and 31lb 4oz as well as an 18lb fully scaled, a 16lb 2oz zip linear and mirrors of 20lb 4oz and 17lb 6oz.14/9/13 Paul Sellens had a 25lb and winter members Luke and Steven had had three doubles to 17lb. The open part of Virginia which had been fishing so well switched off this weekend.

17/9/13 Darren Marchant had a 27lb common, a 14lb2oz common and a 19lb 4oz mirror.

22/9/13 Not much to report this weekend. Mark Johnson had a few from the islands but very little came out of the open part. Sam Savage had at least two twenties but didn’t catch up with him for a final tally.

26/9/13 Steve Hicks had a 17lb mirror

27/9/13 Gary Gregory had two a super looking 19lb 12oz linear and a not so good looking 22lb 2oz common.

4/10/13 Simon Flaxman ened a two day visit with mirrors of 13lb 4oz and 17lb 8oz, a linear of 22lb and commons of 23lb and 29lb 8oz.

6/10/13 Gary Maddison had a 17lb 5oz common and Glen Cooper had three mirrors 12lb 3oz, 15lb 5oz and 16lb 2oz.

10/4/13 Martin had an 18lb 10oz mirror.

16/10/13 Simon had a 17lb 5oz mirror and Adam Lowbridge had two mirrors of 25lb 8oz and a stunning two-tone linear type of 32lb-quite an unusual fish.

19/10/13 Laurie had a 17lb+ but no other reports yet.

22/10/13 Lee Price had a very nice young linear of 26lb 4oz and Mark Johnson another linear of 20lb 5oz as well as The Woodcarving at 32lb 15oz and the newly-named Boss at 33lb 8oz24/10/13 Mark had a common of 32lb 12oz.

25/10/13 Mark continued to catch with a couple of doubles and The Sheriff at 32lb 3oz.26/10/13 Mark had another 30lb common and Gary Johnson had one at least – a really pretty dumpy Italian type at around 17lb

27/10/13 In the midst of the gale Martin Heath had a 20lb common.

Nothing to report from the weekend- the weather was dreadful too!

6/11/13 Martin Heath caught a 32lb 4oz mirror in the teeth of a gale.

7/11/13 Mark Johnson had a 30lb 4oz common

16/11/13 Simon had a good double and it must be a good time for anyone called Johnson because Gary Johnson had another common of 30lb 6oz.

Up to 6/12/13Not much to report I’m afraid. Gary Johnson had a rather nice 25lb 5oz linear out last weekend but didn’t hear of anything else and I hear Mark Johnson has been catching a few twenties too. Gary gregory did a bit of piking and had an 18lb.

15/12/13 Gary Gregory had four pike-biggest 14lb-not heard of any carp coming out.

28/12/13 No reports of much coming out although a few people have fished over Christmas. I know Gordon had a stockie double and there have been some good pike out but nothing other than that.

11/1/14 Adam Lowbridge had Virginia’s first thirty of 2014 in the shape of a chunky 32lb mirror.
7/2/14 Trevor Fisher was delighted to have two commons overnight-one 19+ and the other 25lb +. Lewis Mulholland has also had some lovely pike recently to 19lb I understand.

20/2/14 Adam Lowbridge just landed a stunning 31lb 4oz fully-scaled17/3/14 There hasn’t been much out lately but Vic Maney’s persistence paid off when he had an unseen 31lb 11oz mirror22/3/14 Vic had a 22lb mirror.

13/6/14 Vic’s persistence was at last rewarded when he had eight carp biggest a 32lb 6oz common and a 26lb 3oz common.

7/7/14 Last week Matt Gilson had a couple of twenties and Vic also had two twenties I think. Ivan had five out at the weekend mostly twenties and high doubles.

15/7/14 Simon had a 20lb mirror and a double

19/7/14 Tony Jones and guest had seven-mirrors of 22lb and 22lb, a linear of 22lb 8oz and a 22lb common as well as three high doubles. David Lock had a 21lb common and a 24lb 4oz common. gavin Brown had three doubles and Harry a 17lb 4oz common

21/7/14 Matt Gilson had a 26lb 8oz common on the bank within twenty minutes of setting up.

22/7/14 Matt continued with a 28lb 6oz mirror, a 22lb 4oz common and a double overnight, whilst friend Gary had a 24lb 13oz mirror.

23/7/14 Matt finished his session with a 22lb 10oz mirror and a PB mirror of 28lb 15oz(zip linear) If only it had eaten a couple more boilies!!!

25/7/14 Vic had a 31lb + heavily scaled mirror

26/7/14 Gavin Brown had seven -four doubles, two twenties and a 31lb common.

8/8/14 Lewis landed two commons within a short space of time- 28lb 6oz and 30lb. Dave Lock also had a common of 23lb +. There has also been other smaller doubles out, again all commons.

14/8/14 Just heard that gary had The Sheriff at 34lb 12oz a little while ago as well as a 26lb and a 21lb. Neil had at least a 31lb common-maybe more
