I am sad to report that ‘The Woodcarving’ was found dead on Monday. It had very bad mouth damage and could possibly have been tethered. Whatever the reason we are sad to lose such a distinctive big fish

Matt Gilson had a 24lb 11oz common, a 19lb 11oz common as well as two other carp of 19lb + and 17lb +

It has been pretty quiet over the December/January period. I have heard of a few fish coming out although nothing spectacular. Chris Siddall had a couple of carp around the 20lb mark and there have been some stockie doubles out.  Roll on summer!!

Gavin caught a 20lb mirror during what must have been the coldest night of the year. He also lost another but is still going. Not heard of much else coming out.

23/10/14 There have been numerous twenties out during the last few weeks, most notable amongst the catches were a 22lb 9oz mirror caught by Paul. This was a stock fish that he had caught earlier this year at 19lb, which would indicate how well these fish are doing. The other really nice fish was a 34lb 8oz common caught last week and also a 30lb 12oz common.
