Not many fishing this week. Dave had the best I’ve heard of in the form of a 28lb common.

Some good catches this week. Mark did a couple of nights and had several carp ,the best being The Fully-Scaled spawned out at a smidge under 27lb. Stuart had ten carp biggest a 29lb 7lb mirror and Ricky had at least three. That’s all I’ve had reported so far.

Caught up with Jeff today, who gave us the rest of his catch from a few days ago. I reported his 29lb and two doubles but to add to that Jeff had a 31lb common, 28lb 8oz Simmo, 27lb, two @ 25lb plus a 19lb and a 16lb for good measure. He’s not a record keeper so he thought there were probably a couple more too. Stephen had a 32lb 2oz mirror and lost an even bigger one at the net at last count.

Harry had seven -all twenties and Mark also had seven or eight over a couple of days including The Sheriff at a few ounces under 30 after spawning
Re fixed leads
Recently a big common has been freed from a tangle of line attached to a tree. On one huge length of line was a fixed lead that would not have come off. In total six leads were found as well as over 100m of line !!! This was on Willow Walk Lake. Please do not be upset if you are asked to bring in your lines so that Ian can check your rigs. The welfare of the fish is paramount and it is clearly stated in the rules that fixed leads are not allowed. Please do not jeopardise your membership by contravening the fishery rules.
Also please note that only either barbless or microbarb hooks are permitted.
